What book SHOULD EVERYONE read?

First off - There's a blog hop happening! And I'm one of the featured authors! =)

What does that mean?

Well, it means you need to keep checking back here, because starting on Friday the 25th, there will be fun links and info to not only my books and things, but to other Snowy Wings authors as well! Come take a stroll through a garden of book blogs, check out the authors, the books, the reviewers, and find some new favorites!

Ok, so... sneak preview here, this was one of the questions I was asked by the fabulous Miss Fay at http://www.suckerforcoffe.com/ ...you should totally check out her site, it's delightful!

What's the one book you feel everyone should read?

Oof, that's a tough one. I've spent an inordinate amount of time trying to answer this question and I'm honestly not coming up with one singular title that fills the bill.

First, EVERYONE?

As someone who works in a library, I've spent lots of time trying to put the right book in to the hands of the right person, so I know how challenging that can be. Readers are unique, lovely creatures with varying tastes and needs. One book? For every one of them? I repeat. Oof.

But, okay. Something then with universal ... if not appeal ... then perhaps a universal message of some sort?

Again, oof! So many languages, so many cultures, so many belief systems ... one book?

And SHOULD?

Should, for what purpose? Like, you should read this one thing to have a better life? To save the world? To fix your tire? I mean, where do we go with this?

So I'm thinking. What is it that you could read that could do, you know, all the things? Something that would make you laugh, cry, transcend time and space and imbue you with the skills and knowledge to unstop your sink and unbork your love life? What is that ONE BOOK???

Lol, right?

Ok, so here's what I'm thinking. What's the one thing that greases all the wheels? The one really great thing we humans can do that, if it doesn't distinguish us as a species, at least makes us generally more successful and good at it?

I'll give you a hint:

Two goldfish are in a tank. One looks at the other and says, You man the gun, I'll drive!

Yep. Humor.

Everyone should read something that makes them laugh. It's good for all the things. It makes us work better together, it makes us heal faster and live longer, and love what we're doing more. It's good for our brains, bodies, friends and lovers.

Plus, the dog really digs it when you laugh. Now shut off this consarned contraption and go outside and play. Take the dog.

What?

How did I answer the interview question?

Come back here and find out! =)
